TOOLS NEEDED : Long Fishtail Braid Ponytail Extension  Xpression Braiding Hair Extension (optional)
Method 1 : ponytail Braids
Step 1:

Comb your hair orderly, arranging slippery hair is the foundation with beautiful fishtail braid.

Step 2:

Holding your hair on the back of your head with both hands, and begins the fishtail braid.

Part your starter section. For a normal fishtail braid, this is probably the front section of your hair, that’s closest to your forehead and temples.

Separate your starter section into three equal sections.

You should have three sections now. These three strands will make up the beginning of braid.

Move the right strand to the center, and move the left strand to the center.

Step 3:

Pull up a small section of unbraided hair from the right side of your head, and add it to the right stand of the braid.

Pick up the center strand of the braid, move it to the right, making it become your new right strand. The section you add hair to, is the new center strand.

Add hair to the left strand. This process will be just like the previous step, but using opposite sides.

Step 4:

Continue braiding in this pattern. (To keep the braid looking as neat as possible, try to add sections that are about the same size throughout the braid.)

Step 5:

You will run out of new hair to add into the braid when you reach the nape of your neck, at which point you can finish with a regular braid. Secure the braid with black rubber bands at the end of hair.

Step 6:

After making up, create a tousled braid by rubbing it between your hands.

Step 7:

Fold the tail into the seamy side of your braid and fasten it with small hairpin.

Step 8:

Tie a bowknot and finish the fishtail braid, is it easy? Have a try.

Method 2 :  fishbone braids

Step 1:

Comb your hair.

Step 2:

Pull hair back into a ponytail. (If this is your first time trying a fishtail, start by securing your hair with disposable clear elastic or a hair bungee.)

Step3:

Begin the fishtail braid.

Divide the ponytail into two smaller, equal sized ponytails.

Separate a relatively short section of hair from the outside of the left ponytail.

Pull this piece across the top of the left ponytail over to the right ponytail. (Don’t twist the hair as your bring it across)

Next, separate a relatively short section of hair from the outside of the right ponytail.

Pull this piece across the top of the right ponytail over to the left ponytail.

Repeat those steps until you run out of hair. (Don’t worry if it’s messy, that is a part of the charm)

Step 4:

Then adjust the hair in top of the braid to make your hairstyle fluffy and fewer creases.

Step 5:

When you’re finished braiding, secure the ends with a hair tie. If you want, you can take a lock of hair, wrap it around the end of braid, and secure it with small hairpin.
Method 3 : Two Braids into Side Fishtail Braid

Step1:

Hold the hair of the bangs up with your hands, backcombed the root of hair with rat-tail comb, and fix it with gel, then put the bunch back down, fix the position with clip, make your hair looks fluffy.

Step 2:

Gather a 5-cm wide section of hair from the left side of your hair, right at the hairline. (You can start from the right side if you prefer, but you’ll need to do everything in reverse order.)

Split the section into 3 equal strands.

Begin a standard braid

Add some hair to the left strand, then cross it under. (Gather a thin section of hair from the left side of your hairline, and add it to the left strand. Treating the two strands as one, cross them under the middle strand. ) Use your finger to smooth down any stray strands of hair, if needed.

Repeat the process for the right strand. (Gather a thin section of hair, this time from right part. Add it to the right section to make it thicker, and then cross it under the middle strand.)

Continue with the braid until you reach your nape. Keep adding thin strands of hair to the left and right strands before crossing them under the middle one. Keep the strands even in size and tension. Try to center the braid between your part and hairline.

Finish off with a regular braid, then ties it off.

Step3:

Repeat the process on the other side of your head.

Step4:

Finally, combine tails on both sides together. Use U clip to fix the hair in order to avoid the gap between two tails. Use spray to smooth down any stray strands of hair, if needed.

Step5:

Add some hair accessories decorate hair if you like.

Method 4 : Side Fishtail Braid

Step 1:

Brush your hair to remove any knots before you braid.

Comb your hair into side bang. (Right or left)

Step 2:

Take three sections of hair from the side you choose.

Step 3:

Start your fishtail braid.

Step4:

Take a piece of hair behind your head and combine it with the center strand of the braid, and braid your hair.

Step5:

Continue braiding in this pattern. (Make your braid have appropriate degree of tightness.)

Step 6:

You can braid your hair. When you reach the nape of your neck, finish off with a regular braid by crossing the right and left strands under the middle one. Keep your stitches tight and smooth. You can tie the braid off when you have about 5cm left, or continue braiding down to the very end.

Step7:

Pull the both sides of the braids gently, this helps to make your hair look thicker and emphasizes the shape of the braid.

Method 5 : Regular Fishtail Braid

Step 1:

Comb your hair. Divide your hair into two even sections(Can make a messy shape, it will looks quit bad if you separate it with straight line or comb your hair orderly, just use your hands, separate your hair simply)

Step 2:

Take a thin strand of hair behind your ear from the left section. Gather it from the outside. Pull the thin strand up and across the left section. Move it towards the right one. Tuck the thin strand under the right section.

Step 3:

Take a thin strand of hair behind your ear from the right section. Gather it from the outside of the section. Pull the thin strand up and across the right section. Move it towards the left section. Tuck the thin strand under the left section. This is the part of the left section.

Step 4:

Keep alternating sides until you reach the end of your hair or the middle of your hair. Tie it off when you want to.

Step 5:

The fishtail braid has been basically shaped. In order to be more stylish, pull the both sides of the braids gently. Finally, put hair accessories on your braid, looks lovely.
